Ford Mustang Mach E Recall 25V394: Park Rod May Not Engage, Allowing Rollaway Crash Risk

NHTSA campaign 25V394, reported June 13, 2025, 276 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2025 Mustang Mach E vehicles may have a park rod that fails to engage when the shifter is placed in Park (P). The vehicle may then not be held in place as intended, and it can roll away.

A rollaway increases the risk of a crash, especially if the vehicle is parked on a slope or if a driver steps out without fully securing it. The vehicles also fail to meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 114, which covers theft protection and rollaway prevention.

Authorized Ford dealers will replace the transmission park rod assembly free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed October 3, 2025. You can contact Ford Customer Service at 1-866-436-7332 (Ford recall number 25C25), and check your vehicle's VIN for open recalls.
