Ford Explorer Recall 25V393: Second-Row Seats May Unlatch or Move While Driving

NHTSA campaign 25V393, reported June 13, 2025, 304,662 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2020-2023 Ford Explorer and Lincoln Aviator vehicles have a second-row easy-entry seat switch that may bind or stick. As a result, the outer second-row seats can unlatch, fold, or slide unexpectedly while the vehicle is being driven.

A seat that moves unexpectedly may not properly restrain an occupant during a crash, which increases the risk of injury. Owners should take this recall seriously and have their vehicle checked promptly.

An authorized Ford or Lincoln dealer will inspect the second-row seat switch and replace the bezel around the switch if needed, at no cost to you. Owner notification letters were mailed August 7, 2025. For questions, contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332 and reference recall 25S67. You can also check your VIN for open recalls on the official NHTSA website.
