What this recall means for you
Certain 2022 F-150 Lightning vehicles equipped with 20-inch or 22-inch all-season tires were repaired incorrectly under an earlier recall. As a result, the tire pressure monitoring system warning light may not illuminate as intended, so the driver may not be alerted when a tire is low on air. The vehicles also do not meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 138 for tire pressure monitoring systems.
Low tire pressure can cause poor handling and a loss of vehicle control, which increases the risk of a crash. Because the warning may not appear, you could drive on an underinflated tire without knowing it. Check your tire pressures regularly until the repair is done.
Authorized Ford dealers will update the body control module software at no cost to you. Owner notification letters were mailed June 27, 2025. You can contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332 (Ford recall number 25C20), and you can check your vehicle identification number for open recalls.
