- Problem
- Hyundai Translead is recalling certain 2026 Translead vehicles. The cylinder pin in the slide liftgate may be insufficiently lubricated, which can cause the pin to seize, resulting in lift gate failure.
- Risk
- A lift gate that fails during operation increases the risk of injury.
- Remedy
- Owners are advised not to drive their vehicles until they have been repaired. Hyundai Translead will replace the lift gate cylinder pins, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 2, 2025. Owners may contact Hyundai Translead customer service at 1-800-251-0871. Hyundai Translead's number for this recall is 25E-025.
What this recall means for you
Certain 2026 Translead dry van trailers may have insufficient lubrication on the cylinder pin in the slide liftgate. Over time, the pin can seize, causing the liftgate to fail during operation.
A liftgate that fails while in use raises the risk of injury. Owners are advised not to drive affected vehicles until they have been repaired.
