Keystone Voltage Recall 25V321: Trailer Entry Steps Can Detach, Raising Injury Risk

NHTSA campaign 25V321, reported May 15, 2025, 248 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain travel trailers with a removable step assembly may have clip-on bracket mounting bolts that loosen over time. If the bolts come loose, the steps can detach while in use.

Steps that detach while someone is climbing in or out create a risk of falls and injury. Owners should stop using the steps if they notice looseness or movement and check that the mounting hardware is secure before each use. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed July 7, 2025.

The repair is free. Authorized dealers will install a new bracket and hardware at no charge. You can also contact Keystone RV customer service at 1-866-425-4369, referencing recall 25-468, and check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for any open recalls.
