Ford Bronco Recall 25V312: Rearview camera image can stay on after reversing, distracting driver

NHTSA campaign 25V312, reported May 9, 2025, 12,219 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Some Ford Bronco vehicles from 2021 and 2022 have 8-inch SYNC infotainment screens that were repaired incorrectly under an earlier recall. The rearview camera image may remain on the screen after the vehicle is shifted out of reverse. These vehicles also do not meet the federal rear visibility safety standard.

A rearview image that keeps showing after you have stopped backing up can distract the driver and raise the risk of a crash. If you own an affected vehicle, contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332 (Ford recall number 25C14). Owner notification letters were mailed June 18, 2025.

The repair is free. An authorized Ford dealer will update the SYNC module software at no charge. You can also check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls to confirm whether your vehicle is included.
