Thor Motor Coach Outlaw Recall 25V301: Motorhome Entry Steps May Detach, Risking Injury

NHTSA campaign 25V301, reported May 8, 2025, 42 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain motorhomes are equipped with a removable clip-on step assembly. The bolts that mount the step bracket may loosen over time, which can allow the steps to come off.

Steps that detach while in use increase the risk of injury from a fall. If your motorhome has a removable step assembly, stop using the steps until the bracket has been checked or replaced.

An authorized dealer will replace the step bracket free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 4, 2025. You can also contact Thor Motor Coach customer service at 1-877-855-2867 (reference recall RC000326), and check your vehicle identification number for any open recalls.
