NHTSA campaign 25V257, reported April 17, 2025, 102 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The idler gear bracket fasteners on certain diesel engines may have been improperly tightened, which can allow the idler gear to come loose from the engine.

Authorized Volvo dealers will inspect the vehicle and replace the turbo compound units as necessary, at no charge to the owner. Owners who received a notification letter mailed April 28, 2025 can contact Volvo Trucks North America customer service at 1-800-528-6586. You can also check your VIN for open recalls.
