Mercedes-Benz C 300 Recall 25V253: Driver seat belt may loosen and fail to restrain in a crash

NHTSA campaign 25V253, reported May 2, 2025, 46 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The driver-side front seat belt cover may not be installed correctly on the seat belt tensioner. Over time, this can allow the seat belt anchor to come loose.

Authorized Mercedes-Benz dealers will inspect the seat belt covers and repair them as needed, at no cost to the owner. Owner notification letters were mailed May 16, 2025. For questions, contact Mercedes-Benz USA customer service at 1-800-367-6372, referencing recall number 2025040012.
