Ford Transit Recall 25V242: Backup Camera May Not Show Image in Reverse

NHTSA campaign 25V242, reported April 11, 2025, 4,625 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The rearview camera, or 360-degree view camera where equipped, may fail to display an image when the vehicle is put in reverse. This happens on vehicles that were previously repaired incorrectly under an earlier recall.

Without the camera image, the driver has reduced rear visibility, which increases the risk of a crash while backing up.

An authorized dealer will update the rearview camera software at no charge. Check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls on the manufacturer or NHTSA website, and contact a Ford dealer to schedule the repair.
