RAM 1500 Recall 25V231: Incorrect tire pressure warning can lead to crash risk

NHTSA campaign 25V231, reported April 10, 2025, 10,423 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

A software error in the instrument panel may cause an incorrect tire inflation pressure message to appear on the display. Drivers who trust the message may not notice tires that are actually underinflated or overinflated.

Improperly inflated tires increase the risk of a crash. Owners should check their tire pressures manually and not rely solely on the warning display until the software is updated.

The repair is free. Dealers will update the instrument panel software at no charge. Owner notification letters were mailed beginning April 24, 2025. To check whether your vehicle is affected, look up your VIN for open recalls, or contact FCA customer service at 1-800-853-1403 and reference recall 30C.
