What this recall means for you
An occupant classification sensor in the front passenger seat may wrongly deactivate the front passenger air bag. The system is meant to detect who is sitting in the seat and decide whether the air bag should deploy, but an error can turn it off when it should be active.
If the front passenger air bag does not deploy during a crash, the risk of injury to the passenger increases. Owners should take this seriously and schedule the repair promptly.
The remedy is free. Authorized Porsche dealers will replace the front passenger seat cushion at no charge. Owners who received the notification letter mailed November 24, 2025 can contact Porsche customer service at 1-800-767-7243, referencing recall ASA2. You can also check your vehicle identification number for open recalls.
