Trailstar Topper Recall 25V219: Winch strap can break, letting boat detach from trailer

NHTSA campaign 25V219, reported April 8, 2025, 2,164 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2024-2025 Trailstar trailers have a winch strap that can fray where it rubs against the crossbar. Over time the strap may break, which could allow the boat to come loose from the trailer while you are driving.

A detached boat can become a road hazard for you and other drivers, raising the risk of a crash or injury. If you own an affected trailer, do not tow it until the recall work has been completed.

Dealers will install a roller kit that reroutes the winch strap away from the crossbar, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 16, 2025. To confirm whether your trailer is affected and to schedule the repair, contact White River Marine Group customer service at 1-417-873-5900, and check your VIN for open recalls.
