Alliance RV Avenue Recall 25V218: Incorrect Trailer Weight Label Can Lead to Overloading and Crashes

NHTSA campaign 25V218, reported April 9, 2025, 152 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Some 2025 Avenue 23ML travel trailers may have an incorrect Federal Placard, the certification label listing the Unloaded Vehicle Weight (UVW) and Cargo Carrying Capacity (CCC). Because the stated figures may be wrong, the trailer could be loaded beyond its safe limit without the owner realizing it.

An overloaded trailer is more likely to be involved in a crash, since added weight affects braking, handling, and stability. Owners should not assume the posted capacity is accurate for their trailer until the label has been checked or replaced.

The replacement Federal Placard is free of charge and can be installed by an authorized dealer. Owner notification letters were mailed April 15, 2025. You can also contact Alliance RV customer service at 1-574-218-7165, and check your VIN for any open recalls.
