Ford F-250 SD Recall 25V157: Power windows may not reverse when blocked, risking injury

NHTSA campaign 25V157, reported March 14, 2025, 9 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Some 2023 Super Duty trucks were previously repaired under an earlier recall, but the repair was done incorrectly. The driver and front passenger power windows may fail to detect an obstacle while closing, so they may not automatically reverse direction as intended.

A window that does not reverse when it meets an obstruction, such as a hand, arm or head, increases the risk of injury. Owners should not rely on the automatic reversal feature being active until the vehicle has been repaired.

The fix is a software update performed by an authorized Ford dealer at no cost to you. Owner notification letters were mailed April 18, 2025. You can also contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332, and check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls.
