BMW X3 Recall 25V154: Rear brake hoses may leak, reducing braking and stability control

NHTSA campaign 25V154, reported March 12, 2025, 192 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2025 BMW X3 vehicles may have rear brake hoses that leak. A leak can cause a loss of rear brake function, and it can also disable the Antilock Brake System (ABS) and Dynamic Stability Control (DSC). Losing rear braking increases the risk of a crash.

If you own an affected vehicle, BMW will replace the rear brake hoses at an authorized BMW dealer at no cost to you. Owner notification letters were mailed May 9, 2025. You can also contact BMW customer service at 800-525-7417 for more information.

Because recall coverage depends on your specific vehicle, check your VIN for open recalls and schedule the free repair as soon as possible.
