Blue ARC BA4L-800 Recall 25V142: Headlight Aim Can Be Changed, Risking Glare or Poor Visibility

NHTSA campaign 25V142, reported March 5, 2025, 14 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Some Blue Arc BA4L-800 vehicles were built without a cover over the headlight horizontal adjustment studs. Without that cover, the horizontal aim of the headlight beam can be adjusted, which means the beams may end up pointed in a way that causes glare for other drivers or reduces the driver's own visibility. The vehicles also do not meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 108 for lamps and associated equipment.

Reduced or misdirected headlight coverage can make it harder to see the road ahead at night or in poor weather, and glare can impair the vision of oncoming drivers. Either can increase the risk of a crash.

An authorized dealer will install a cover over the horizontal adjustment studs at no cost to you. Owner notification letters were mailed March 14, 2025. For questions, contact Blue Arc customer service at 800-237-7806 or [email protected]. You can also check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for any open recalls.
