Vermeer Lpsdt Recall 25V128: Trailer Frame May Crack, Causing Loss of Towing Stability

NHTSA campaign 25V128, reported March 19, 2025, 472 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain Vermeer vacuum excavator trailers may have a frame that cracks or breaks. A cracked or broken frame can reduce the trailer's stability while it is being towed.

Reduced stability can lead to a loss of control of the towing vehicle and trailer, which increases the risk of a crash. Owners of affected trailers should take this recall seriously.

Authorized Vermeer dealers will install reinforcement plates on the trailer at no cost to the owner. Owner notification letters were mailed April 24, 2025. To confirm your trailer is covered or to ask questions, contact Vermeer customer service at 1-800-829-0051 ext. 7060, referencing recall VMV0103, and check your VIN for open recalls.
