GMC Savana Recall 25V087: Driver's door beam may be poorly welded, risking crash injury

NHTSA campaign 25V087, reported February 13, 2025, 82 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain vans may have an impact beam in the driver's side door with improper welds. The beam is meant to protect occupants during a side crash, so a weak weld means it may not provide adequate protection.

If the beam is not properly welded, the risk of injury to the driver in a crash increases. Owners should take this recall seriously and have the vehicle inspected and repaired promptly.

The repair is free: an authorized dealer will replace the driver's side door at no charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 3, 2025. You can also contact Chevrolet customer service at 800-222-1020 or GMC customer service at 800-462-8782, and reference recall number N242490780. Check your VIN for open recalls to confirm whether your vehicle is affected.
