Porsche 911 Recall 25V079: Headlights May Glare at Oncoming Drivers, Raising Crash Risk

NHTSA campaign 25V079, reported February 12, 2025, 878 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

A software error in the front-end electronics control module can cause the low beam headlights to produce excessive glare for oncoming traffic. The vehicles therefore do not meet the federal lighting standard, FMVSS 108.

Excessive glare can reduce the visibility of oncoming drivers, which increases the risk of a crash. Owners should be aware of this issue, especially when driving at night.

The repair is free. Authorized dealers will update the front-end electronics control module software at no charge. Owners who received a notification letter, mailed April 1, 2025, can also contact Porsche customer service at 1-800-767-7243. Check your VIN for open recalls to confirm whether your vehicle is affected.
