Honda Pilot Recall 25V056: Third-row seat belt may not restrain passengers in a crash

NHTSA campaign 25V056, reported February 5, 2025, 1,494 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

A third-row passenger seat belt may not work because it is routed incorrectly and can become trapped behind the passenger-side panel. The belt assembly therefore fails to meet federal occupant crash protection requirements.

A seat belt that cannot function cannot properly restrain the person sitting in that seat, which raises the risk of injury during a crash.

Honda dealers will inspect the seat belt routing and repair it as needed, at no cost to you. Owner notification letters were mailed March 24, 2025. You can contact Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138 with recall number ZL4, and you can check your VIN for open recalls.
