Coachmen Catalina Recall 25V034: Incorrect weight label may lead to overloading and crash risk

NHTSA campaign 25V034, reported January 24, 2025, 64 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The certification label on certain trailers lists an incorrect vehicle dry weight. An owner who relies on that label could load the trailer beyond its safe limits without realizing it, which raises the risk of a crash.

If your trailer is affected, dealers will replace the label free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 6, 2025. You can also contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-825-4995 for help with the recall.

Until the label is replaced, do not rely on the listed dry weight when planning your load. Check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls to confirm whether your trailer is included.
