Jaguar XE Recall 25V017: Rearview camera image may not appear, raising crash risk

NHTSA campaign 25V017, reported January 16, 2025, 5,329 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Wiring in the trunk of certain 2019 and 2020 Jaguar XE vehicles may be damaged. When this happens, the rearview camera image may not show on the display, which reduces the driver's view behind the vehicle.

A rearview camera that does not display an image can reduce your rear visibility while backing up, increasing the risk of a crash. This recall replaces and expands an earlier recall, 23V-501. Vehicles already repaired under that recall will need the new remedy completed.

An authorized Jaguar dealer will inspect the vehicle and repair or replace the rearview camera wiring harness as needed, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed February 2, 2026. You can contact Jaguar customer service at 1-800-452-4827, and you should check your VIN for open recalls.
