NHTSA campaign 25V015, reported January 16, 2025, 5 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

A bolt securing the rear center seat belt assembly to the seat structure may not have been properly tightened on certain 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV and 2024-2025 GMC Sierra EV pickups. A loose belt assembly may not restrain an occupant as intended, which increases the risk of injury in a crash.

GM will tighten the bolt that attaches the center seat belt assembly to the rear seat structure, free of charge. According to the notice, all affected vehicles are still in dealer inventory, so no owner letters will be mailed. If you own one of these trucks, check your VIN for open recalls and contact GM customer service at 1-888-988-7267 or Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020.
