Ford Flex Recall 24V951: Rearview Camera May Show Blank or Distorted Image

NHTSA campaign 24V951, reported December 20, 2024, 30,715 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The rearview camera in certain 2019 Ford Fiesta, Ford Flex, and Lincoln MKT vehicles may intermittently display a blank or distorted image. This reduces the driver's view of what is behind the vehicle.

A rearview camera that shows a blank or distorted picture can leave you unable to see objects, people, or other vehicles behind you when backing up, which increases the risk of a crash.

Dealers will replace the rearview camera as necessary, free of charge. Interim notification letters were mailed January 22, 2025, and a second notice will be sent once the final remedy is available, anticipated March 2027. You can contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332 and reference recall 24S75, and you should check your vehicle's VIN for open recalls.
