Oshkosh S-Series Recall 24V917: Sticking Throttle Pedal Can Increase Crash Risk

NHTSA campaign 24V917, reported December 10, 2024, 800 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2022-2024 Oshkosh S-Series vehicles may have a throttle pedal assembly with an oversized magnet carrier. This can slow the pedal's responsiveness or cause it to stick.

A throttle pedal that sticks can keep the engine running at higher speed than intended, which increases the risk of a crash. Owners should be alert to any sign that the pedal is slow to respond or does not return normally.

Oshkosh will replace the throttle pedal free of charge at an authorized dealer. Owner notification letters were mailed January 31, 2025. You can contact Oshkosh customer service at 1-888-686-7278, and you should check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls.
