Mclaren 765LT Recall 24V901: Rear window may detach from vehicle, creating crash risk

NHTSA campaign 24V901, reported November 28, 2024, 163 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

On certain 2021 McLaren 765LT Coupe vehicles, the rear cabin window may not be adequately bonded with adhesive. If this happens, the window can detach from its support frame while driving. A detached rear window can become a road hazard for other drivers and increases the risk of a crash.

The remedy is free. Authorized dealers will install bespoke fasteners into each corner of the polycarbonate rear window panel to secure it. Owners were sent interim notification letters explaining the safety risk on December 4, 2024. A second notice will be sent when remedy parts become available, which is anticipated in late September 2025.

If you own a 2021 McLaren 765LT, check your VIN for open recalls and contact an authorized dealer or McLaren customer service at 1-646-429-8916 with questions.
