What this recall means for you
Certain 2022-2025 International HX vehicles may have air brake components that let the service brakes take longer than expected to release. This means the vehicle may not meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 121 for air brake systems. A delayed brake release can increase the risk of a crash.
International will install larger air lines or a quick release valve (QRV), as needed, at no cost to owners. Owner notification letters were mailed January 13, 2025. If you own an affected vehicle, contact International customer service at 1-800-448-7825 to schedule the free repair at an authorized dealer.
You can also check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls using the NHTSA recall lookup tool to confirm whether your vehicle is included.
