Nova Bus LFS Recall 24V873: Coolant Sensor May Falsely Signal Engine Shutdown

NHTSA campaign 24V873, reported November 19, 2024, 758 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

A coolant sensor in certain Nova Bus LFS and LFS Artic buses can send a false signal, which may cause the engine to shut down unexpectedly while the bus is in operation.

An unexpected engine shutdown can increase the risk of a crash. Transferring passengers from a disabled bus can also increase the risk of injury.

The repair is free at an authorized dealer: the coolant sensor will be inspected and replaced as necessary. Owners who received notification letters mailed February 20, 2025 can contact Nova Bus customer service at 1-800-350-6682.
