Jeep Wrangler Recall 24V871: Trailer lights may not work, reducing visibility to other drivers

NHTSA campaign 24V871, reported November 19, 2024, 34 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

An incorrect dash wiring harness may have been installed in these vehicles. This can cause the trailer lighting to stop working, so the vehicle does not meet federal lighting safety requirements.

When trailer lights fail to illuminate, other drivers may have a harder time seeing your vehicle and trailer, which increases the risk of a crash.

Dealers will inspect the dash wiring harness and replace it if necessary, at no cost to you. Owner notification letters were mailed December 19, 2024. You can contact FCA customer service at 1-800-853-1403 (recall B9B), and you should check your VIN for open recalls.
