- Problem
- Forest River Bus, LLC (Forest River) is recalling certain 2025-2026 Collins MFSAB, Collins CL9, 2025 Magellan and 2026 Mid Bus school buses. The incorrect child seat latch bar was installed. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 225, "Child Restraint Anchorage Systems."

- The incorrect latch bar may make it difficult or impossible to correctly install a child seat, increasing the risk of injury.
- Remedy
- Dealers will replace the latch bar, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 18, 2024. Owners may contact Forest River Customer Service at (620) 888-3310. Forest River's number for this recall is 551-1851.

What this recall means for you
Certain 2025-2026 Forest River school buses, including Collins, Collins CL9, Magellan, and Mid Bus models, were built with an incorrect child seat latch bar. The vehicles therefore do not meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 225, which covers child restraint anchorage systems.
The wrong latch bar may make it difficult or impossible to correctly install a child safety seat. A poorly installed child seat increases the risk of injury to a child in a crash.
