What this recall means for you
The side roof-rail curtain airbag inflator on certain trucks may have an end cap that detaches, or the inflator casing may rupture. When this happens, compressed gas can escape and push the end cap or other parts into the cabin, which raises the risk of injury and can increase the chance of harm in a crash.
Dealers will replace the left and right side roof-rail airbag modules at no cost to the owner. Owner notification letters were mailed November 8, 2024. If you have questions, you can contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020 or GMC customer service at 888-988-7267.
Check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls, and schedule the free repair at an authorized dealer as soon as possible.
