Jayco Travel Trailer JAY Feather Air Recall 24V751: Wrong weight rating label can lead to overloading and crash risk

NHTSA campaign 24V751, reported October 9, 2024, 49 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The certification label on these travel trailers lists an incorrect Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR). Because the stated axle limit is wrong, the trailer can be loaded beyond what its axles are rated to carry without the owner realizing it.

An overloaded trailer increases the risk of a crash. Overloading can affect braking, handling and stability, especially when towing, so the wrong label is a real safety concern.

Authorized dealers will install new, correct labels at no cost to you. Owner notification letters were mailed October 23, 2024. If you have questions, contact Jayco Customer Service at 1-800-283-8267 and reference recall number 9901613. You can also check your VIN for open recalls.
