- Problem
- Forest River, Inc. is recalling certain 2024-2025 Viking and Clipper travel trailers. As such, these trailers fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
- Risk
- Insufficiently reflective side marker lights can reduce the trailer's visibility to other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.

What this recall means for you
Certain 2024-2025 Forest River Clipper and Viking travel trailers have side marker lights that may not reflect light as intended. This can make the trailer harder for other drivers to see, and it means the trailer does not meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 108 for lamps and reflective devices.
Reduced visibility raises the risk of a crash, especially at night or in low light. If you own one of these trailers, contact Forest River Customer Service at 269-467-6604 to confirm your trailer is covered. Owner notification letters were mailed October 22, 2024.
The repair is free. An authorized dealer will install reflector stickers on the side marker lights at no charge. You can also check your VIN for any open recalls on NHTSA's website.
