What this recall means for you
Certain 2023-2024 Ember travel trailers have certification labels that list an incorrect cargo carrying capacity. Because the posted capacity is wrong, the trailer can be loaded beyond what it is designed to carry, and the labels also fail to comply with federal certification requirements.
An overloaded trailer increases the risk of a crash. Owners should check whether their trailer is covered and contact Ember customer service at 1-844-732-4204 to request replacement certification labels, which Ember will mail free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 19, 2024.
Until you have the corrected label, do not rely on the existing capacity figure, keep cargo weight well within limits, and check your VIN for any open recalls at NHTSA's website.
