Porsche Taycan Recall 24V654: Parking lights may not work with turn signals, reducing visibility

NHTSA campaign 24V654, reported September 5, 2024, 954 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Some 2024 Taycan vehicles may have incorrect headlight control module software installed. Because of this, the parking lights may not operate as intended when the turn signals are activated. The vehicles also fail to meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 108 for lamps and reflective devices.

When the parking lights do not behave as designed during a turn signal, other drivers may have a harder time seeing your vehicle, which increases the risk of a crash.

Dealers will update the headlight control module software free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed October 25, 2024. You can contact Porsche customer service at 1-800-767-7243 for more information, and check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for any open recalls.
