Entegra Ethos Recall 24V641: Rearview camera image may not display, raising crash risk

What this recall means for you

Certain Jayco motorhomes from model years 2023 to 2025 may have a radio software problem that keeps the rearview camera image from showing on the display. Without the camera image, the driver has less view behind the vehicle, which increases the risk of a backover crash. These vehicles do not meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 111 for rear visibility.

The remedy is a radio software update, delivered either over the air or by an authorized dealer, at no cost to the owner. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on September 27, 2024. Owners should check whether their vehicle is affected by entering its VIN in NHTSA's recall lookup. Until the update is installed, be extra careful when backing up and check behind the vehicle by other means, such as looking over your shoulder and using mirrors.
