What this recall means for you
Endera Motors is recalling certain 2022 and 2023 Endera school buses because the operating instructions on the emergency exit labels are printed in lettering that is too small and may be difficult to read. The vehicles therefore do not meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 217, which covers bus emergency exits and window retention and release.
If the instructions are hard to read, passengers may have trouble using the emergency exit quickly, which can prevent or delay escape in an emergency and increase the risk of injury.
Endera will replace the emergency exit label free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on November 11, 2024. If you own an affected bus, contact Endera customer service at 419-523-3593, and check your vehicle identification number for any open recalls.
