What this recall means for you
Certain motorhomes have wiring that may have been routed incorrectly, which can damage the wiring for the forward-facing camera. When that happens, the camera can stop working, and with it the active brake assist, lane keep assist, and automatic high beams that rely on it.
Without these driver-assistance features, the risk of a crash increases. Owners should not assume the safety systems are working if the camera has failed.
The repair is free. Authorized dealers will reroute the wiring at no charge. Owners who received a notification letter mailed October 4, 2024, can contact Winnebago customer service at 1-641-585-3535, referencing recall number 187. Owners can also check their vehicle identification number (VIN) for any open recalls.
