Mercedes-Benz AMG GLB35 Recall 24V592: Rear brake hoses may chafe and leak brake fluid

NHTSA campaign 24V592, reported August 9, 2024, 16 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Some vehicles may have had their rear axle brake hoses routed improperly at the factory. Over time, the hoses could rub against nearby parts and chafe, which can cause a brake fluid leak.

A brake fluid leak can lead to a loss of braking ability and raise the risk of a crash. If you own an affected vehicle, do not ignore warning signs such as a brake warning light, a soft or sinking brake pedal, or a noticeable drop in brake fluid level.

Authorized Mercedes-Benz dealers will inspect the rear axle brake hoses and reroute them as needed, at no cost to you. Owner notification letters were mailed September 11, 2024. You can also contact Mercedes-Benz USA customer service at 1-877-496-3691 and check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for any open recalls.
