What this recall means for you
Certain 2025 Freelander motorhomes have a Federal Placard, the certification label, that lists 30 seat-belted positions in the rear when the correct number is 3. The label does not comply with federal safety requirements. Because the seating information is wrong, the vehicle could be overloaded with passengers, which raises the risk of a crash.
The manufacturer, Forest River, will mail owners a new, correct Federal Placard at no cost. Owner notification letters were mailed August 8, 2024. If you own a 2025 Freelander motorhome and have not received a replacement placard, contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-825-8602 and reference recall number 210-1824.
Until you receive the corrected placard, do not carry more people in the rear than the seat-belted positions it should show, which is 3. Also check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for any other open recalls.
