Taxa Mantis Recall 24V579: Water Tank Can Detach, Creating a Road Hazard

NHTSA campaign 24V579, reported August 2, 2024, 863 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The gaskets and brackets that hold the freshwater storage tank in place may fail. If that happens, the tank can move around and come loose from the trailer.

A detached tank can fall onto the road, where it becomes an obstacle for other drivers. That raises the risk of a crash.

An authorized dealer will replace the gaskets and brackets at no cost to you. Owners were notified by mail beginning September 20, 2024, or you can contact TAXA customer service at 713-861-2540. You can also check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for any open recalls.
