Dodge Challenger Recall 24V573: Rear seat back may not stay upright in a crash

NHTSA campaign 24V573, reported August 1, 2024, 2,852 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Some 2023 Dodge Challenger vehicles have a left rear seat back that may not lock in the upright position. The vehicles therefore do not meet the federal seating system safety standard (FMVSS 207).

A seat back that is not locked into place can increase the risk of injury in a crash. If you have a 2023 Challenger, check whether the left rear seat back stays firmly upright and avoid carrying passengers in that seat until the repair is done.

Authorized Dodge dealers will inspect and adjust the seat back latch striker as needed, at no charge to you. Owners were mailed notification letters on August 15, 2024. You can also call FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403, and check your VIN for any open recalls.
