Autocar Xpeditor Recall 24V515: Cab Hinge Pin May Lack Retaining Ring, Risking Separation

NHTSA campaign 24V515, reported July 8, 2024, 841 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2023 and 2024 Autocar Xpeditor trucks may be missing the retaining ring on the cab tilt hinge pin. Without that ring, the pin may not be secured in place.

An unsecured pin can separate from the vehicle and fall onto the road, where it becomes a hazard to other drivers and raises the risk of a crash.

Authorized Autocar dealers will inspect the cab tilt pin and replace the retaining ring if needed, at no cost to you. Owner notification letters were mailed September 2, 2024. You can contact Autocar customer service at 1-888-218-3611 (recall ACX-2403), and you should check your vehicle identification number for any open recalls.
