What this recall means for you
Certain 2024 CR-V tires are missing the four-digit date code in their tire identification number (TIN), so the tires do not meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 139 for new pneumatic radial tires for light vehicles. Without that date information, an owner may not realize their vehicle is part of a safety recall and may keep driving on the affected tires, which increases the risk of a crash.
Authorized Honda dealers will inspect the tires and replace them as necessary at no cost to the owner. Owner notification letters were mailed August 27, 2024. If you have questions, contact Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138, and reference Honda's recall number BIS. You can also check your vehicle's VIN for open recalls.
