NHTSA campaign 24V467, reported June 21, 2024, 38 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain tie rod assemblies may contain ball studs that were incorrectly heat-treated. The studs can break, which may lead to tie rod failure.

If a tie rod fails, the vehicle can lose steering control, which increases the risk of a crash. Because all affected vehicles are still in dealer inventory, no owner notification letters will be mailed. Dealers will inspect and replace the tie rod and center link assembly as needed, at no charge.
