NHTSA campaign 24V459, reported June 20, 2024, 6,942 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The instrument panel may fail to illuminate when the hazard warning lights, high beams, or turn signals are switched on. Without that dashboard reminder, a driver may not notice these lights are still active, and they can then confuse other drivers, which increases the risk of a crash.

Dealers will update the instrument panel software free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 13, 2024. If you have questions, you can contact Cadillac customer service at 1-800-458-8006, quoting GM recall number N242447940. You can also check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls.

If your vehicle is affected, schedule the software update at an authorized Cadillac dealer. Until it is done, make a habit of checking that your hazard lights, high beams, and turn signals are off when you no longer need them.
