What this recall means for you
Some 2023 Ram 1500, 2500, and 3500 trucks may have an insufficient weld in the transmission control unit. This can let transmission fluid leak onto electrical components, which may cause a loss of drive power or a loss of the park function.
Losing drive power or the park function increases the risk of a crash. If your truck loses drive power or does not hold in park as expected, take steps to stop safely and have it inspected as soon as possible.
The repair is free. Authorized dealers will replace the valve body and control unit at no charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on July 26, 2024. You can contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403 (recall number 63B), and you can check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls.
