Fisker Ocean Recall 24V405: Brake and ABS warning lights may not alert drivers

NHTSA campaign 24V405, reported June 5, 2024, 6,864 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The instrument panel on these vehicles may display the Brake, Park, and ABS warning lights in the wrong font size, and some warning lights appear in amber instead of red. Several warning lights also may not illuminate during the ignition bulb check. The vehicles therefore do not fully meet federal safety standards for brake systems, controls and displays, and warning indicators.

If warning lights do not display correctly, the driver may not be alerted to critical safety information about the brakes or anti-lock braking system, which could increase the risk of a crash or injury.

The remedy is a free over-the-air software update that Fisker will release, so no dealer visit is needed for the fix. Owner notification letters were mailed June 11, 2024. You can contact Fisker customer service at 1-844-347-5371 and reference recall number TSB70062404. Also check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for any open recalls.
