Driverge Ford T-350 Recall 24V382: Seat Back May Release in a Crash, Raising Injury Risk

NHTSA campaign 24V382, reported May 30, 2024, 41 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2023-2024 Ford T-350 vehicles fitted with GO-ES Space Saver Foldaway Seats may have a recliner mechanism that does not engage when the seat back is fully reclined. As a result, the seat back could release when force is applied to the shoulder belt, and the seat does not meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 210 for seat belt assembly anchorages.

A seat back that gives way during a crash increases the risk of injury to the occupant, since the seat belt may not hold the body in place as intended. Owners should take this recall seriously and arrange a repair promptly.

The remedy is free. Driverge will work with the seat equipment manufacturer to inspect and repair the seats as necessary at no charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 29, 2024. To check whether your vehicle is affected, contact Driverge customer service at 1-330-861-1118 or Freedman customer service at 1-800-443-4540, and check your VIN for open recalls.
